Cllr Jacques and the Community Warden have carried out a thorough check of the emergency equipment held by the Council at the Town Council offices and the WI Hall.
Update will be provided at the meeting.
Do Members have any questions?
Cllr McArthur has taken a look at the Plan dated November 2021. Proposals will be presented at the meeting for discussion.
Members to discuss and consider updates to be done.
There continues to be no licensed radio amateurs at SDC. There has been conversations at SDC regarding the possibility of an alternative patch through system, but there remains no viable solutions for Edenbridge currently. Cllr McArthur and Robert McKillop have investigated options also, but does require support of SDC. A verbal update will be given at the meeting.
The Town Council's website does carry useful information and links. There was also a recent website and Facebook post as part of National Preparedness Month, encouraging all residents to take steps toward being prepared for emergencies and local impacts. Whether it’s severe weather, flooding, or a utility outage, being ready can make a significant difference in how you, your family, and your community respond. A flyer was also put up in Council websites (see the attached).
