Minutes
Apologies for absence were received, noted, and accepted from Cllr Baker, Cllr Compton, Cllr Gemmell Smith, Cllr Lloyd, Cllr Jennings and Cllr McArthur.
Cllr Sumner stated a non-pecuniary interest in item 6.2 of the Agenda.
Resolved: the minutes of the Planning Committee held on 3 APRIL 2023 be duly signed by the Committee Chairman as a true and accurate record of the meeting;
Recommendation: Members objected to this application and noted the comments from the Conservation Officer regarding the floodlights being inappropriate for the street scene, and also the comments from the Post office and Environment Officer regarding the excess noise – No noise assessment has taken place. There is no parking provision and Edenbridge High Street is very short of parking space.
Recommendation: Members supported this application.

Recommendation: Members commented that it was inappropriate to add another storey to the property by prior notification. The height of the building would have an impact on the openness of the Greenbelt and would be incompatible with the street scene.

Please see attached historic documents.
i) Do members agree for the footpath to be recorded as the path which has always been walked? (D-B on the map) – not A-B on the map, which has never been walked and has been incorrectly recorded on that alignment when the historical documentary evidence shows it should be recorded as between D-B?
Resolved – Members agreed the footpath should be recorded between D-B (where it has always been walked).
ii) The section recorded B-C is also incorrectly recorded on the map – The purple line is recorded on the Definitive Map and the dashed line shows where the path should run according to historic documentary evidence and shows the proposed amendment to the alignment of footpath SR620. Do members support the amendment to align the footpath (SR620) as shown as a dashed line (route to be added) and as show on the on the historical research evidence?
Resolved – Members agreed the footpath should be recorded as where the dashed line shows according to the documentary evidence.
