Apologies were received, noted and accepted from Cllrs Martindale, McArthur, Parker, and Sumner.
Councillors reviewed the application request from House for a new computer. During discussion, the Foundation's charity objectives were discussed; Cllr Baker proposed a review of the Charity objectives noting the wording could be clearer, and questioned how people got to know about the funds. Cllr Read agreed, and seconded. Cllr Aldridge proposed a review of the investments, with possibly reducing the number of the accounts. Cllr Layland seconded. Members voted, and
Resolved: a review of the Foundations objectives wording, and the accounts considering transfer to just one or two accounts.
Members, considered the HOUSE application, the young people at the youth club wanted to upgrade the computer systems so that it could help them with school work, learning new film and photo editing skills, as well as learning music production. Members voted, and unanimously,
Resolved: to award £2,137.98 to West Kent Housing HOUSE youth group to fund the purchase of new computer, thus promoting education and training benefits for young people at secondary school education level in Edenbridge
