Recommendation: Members supported this application.

Recommendation: Members supported this application.

Recommendation: Members supported this application.

Recommendation: Members objected to this application and, wished to repeat their precious comments::

  • The site is in the Greenbelt and within the National Landscapes so this development would impact on the openness of the Greenbelt.
  • Parking would be an issue on the site for the number of units applied for.
  • There was no mention of the aircraft noise.  The site is in the Gatwick flight path, and their website will show where the increased flight numbers will be when the new runway is operational.
  • There is not a need for self-build units in Edenbridge. Those at Hilders Farm have not sold and it is documented that buyers of self-build plots favour isolated sites.
  • Concern about the long term viability and reliability of the pre-packaged sewage treatment approach proposed.

Recommendation: Members supported this application.

Recommendation: Members made no comment.

Recommendation: Members commented that they were concerned about:

  • Overlooking nearby properties
  • Shadowing on nearby properties
  • inappropriate impact on the street scene
  • inappropriate effect on the openness of the greenbelt
