Personnel
What we do
The Personnel Committee oversees staffing matters for the Council. It is responsible for setting employment policies, supporting good working practices, and making sure the Council is a fair and effective employer.
How we work
The Committee meets as needed to consider staffing issues, review employment policies, and ensure the council complies with relevant legislation. It also deals with appointments, staff development, and performance matters.
Why it matters
Council services depend on skilled and motivated staff. By managing recruitment, employment conditions, and staff support, the Personnel Committee helps ensure the Council can deliver high-quality services for the community.
Who’s involved
There are seven councillors appointed by Council at its Annual Meeting.
