Councillor Jon Aldridge
Councillor Jon Aldridge is the vice-chairman of Edenbridge Town Council for the year 2025-26.
He has lived in the town for the last ten years and has served on Edenbridge Town Council since 2019. Driven by a strong interest in local issues and a desire to contribute to the community, his work on the Council focuses on planning and development, including Local Plan processes and planning consultations. Cllr Aldridge also takes a keen interest in infrastructure mapping and visualisation, modernising council systems through digital innovation, public engagement, and improving meeting management and administration. He is also closely involved with the Edenbridge Market and efforts to support its future.
Outside of his council work, Jon is passionate about technology and how digital tools can improve local government services and community engagement. He enjoys good food and wine - especially Italian cuisine - and loves to travel, having explored much of Europe and Central/East Asia. He is also active within the Liberal Democrats, where he contributes to policy discussions and communications.
