Where these settings live

Go to Council in the left-hand menu, then click Council Info. From here several edit options are available.

Editing council details

Click Edit Council to update the following:

Council Identity

Field Notes
Name The council's full public name
Type of Council Parish or Town

About the Council

Field Notes
Public Description A description of the council displayed on the public portal

Contact Details

Field Notes
Clerk Name The clerk's name, displayed on the public portal
Contact Email The council's public contact email
Contact Phone The council's public contact phone number
Office Hours Displayed on the public portal
Website The council's own website URL

Address

Field Notes
Address 1–3 The council's address
Address County
Address Postcode

Awards & Committees

Field Notes
Awards received by the Council Any quality awards held by the council
Minute-Adopting Committee The committee responsible for adopting minutes — see Setting the adopting committee
Minute Numbering Schema The numbering scheme for minutes. Do not change this without understanding the implications.

Click Save to apply changes, or Exit Without Saving to discard.

Editing account information

Click Edit Account Info to update:

Field Notes
Legal Name The council's full legal name
Private Contact Email An internal email address for system notifications — not displayed publicly

Uploading logos

Click Edit Logo to upload your council's logos.

Two logos are used in different contexts:

Logo Format Used for
Print Logo SVG preferred (transparent background) Printed agenda and minutes PDFs
Email Logo PNG or JPG Email notifications to councillors

Upload each logo using the relevant file upload field and save.
