Councillor Alan Layland
Councillor Alan Layland has lived and worked in Edenbridge since 1967 and has been actively involved in local government for over a decade. He was first elected to Edenbridge Town Council in 2013, representing the North and East Ward, and went on to become a Sevenoaks District Councillor in 2015 for the South and West Ward. Over the years, Alan has held senior positions including Chairman of Edenbridge Town Council and Chairman of Sevenoaks District Council, contributing significantly to local leadership and decision-making.
Alan is deeply involved in the community through various charitable and voluntary roles. He is a Trustee of the Eden Valley Museum and the Edenbridge Voluntary Drivers, an Honorary Member of the Eden Valley Chamber of Commerce, and sits on the board of the Edenbridge and Westerham Citizens Advice. His long-standing commitment to Edenbridge reflects both his passion for public service and his dedication to supporting local organisations.
