Councillor Angela Baker

Councillor Baker is the chairwoman of Edenbridge Town Council for the year 2025-26. 

She is an active member of several Council committees, including Open Spaces, Planning and Transportation, Finance and Governance, Emergency Planning, and Personnel.

Angela’s journey into local politics began with a campaign close to home – improving Edenbridge Leisure Centre. Her desire and passion for improving facilities in Edenbridge led her to joining the Council in 2019. Since then she has played a key role in supporting the Council’s work to maintain and enhance Edenbridge’s parks, facilities, and community services, and has been closely involved in initiatives ranging from highways improvements to local planning consultations and community events.

Angela is also a district councillor for Edenbridge North and East at Sevenoaks District Council, where she contributes to a range of advisory and decision-making committees, and ensures Edenbridge has a strong voice in wider district-level planning. Through her work across both councils, she is committed to representing local residents and supporting projects that strengthen Edenbridge’s community, protect its green spaces, and ensure the town continues to thrive for future generations.
